Assigning data by precinct

AdvoKit Users
We are about to implement a precinct organization using Advokit. We will have several hundreds of thousands of records to import but we need to assign the precincts to individual people who will be precinct captains. What will be the best way of doing this, or is it even possible? And once this is set up, if indeed it can be done, how do we give the precinct captains all of the data for that precinct with one click instead of having to ask for 10 names at a time?
(Personally I think we are really jumping the gun on this because I don't think Advokit is Quite There Yet for a large scale operation but I'm getting a lot of pressure.)

Use voter filters
This is what voter filters were designed for.
For each sub-population (precinct in this case) that you want to assign a team to:
At this point, you have restricted the pool of target voters, but you have not "checked them out" - if, within the same operation, there is another team whose voter filters allow it, they could grab "your" voters. "Checking out" a voter requires putting that voter onto a contact list, and contact lists are owned by voter contact jobs. So you need to create one or more voter contact jobs on your team, and then add voters to a contact list for that job.
Personally, I'm not sure that checking out the entire target voter pool is necessarily a good idea, but if you do choose to do so, leave the search field blank and click "Go!". You will be presented with the first page of a list of all the voters that match your team's voter filters. Choose ""Show only voters not on any contact list" at the top of the listing. Then, where it says "<Add> {selected} to ...", change "selected" to "this many". It will display the number of voters that will be added to the contact list. Providing a contact list name and clicking "Add" will complete the process.
Note that an attribute of voter contact jobs is a maximum number of contacts that they are allowed to have. If you want this job to be able to check out thousands of voters, be sure to edit the job-type definition (you must be logged in as campaign leader to do this), or probably better, create a new job-type just for this purpose.
